(L.A.) Johnny Darden, 66, Died From Natural Causes

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Black male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Johnny Darden.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disease

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disesae

Other Significant Condition: Morbid Obesity

RIP JOHNNY DARDEN (June 28, 1957 – May 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:12 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest.
