Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the teenage boy as Joel Mercado.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

The decedent was apparently shot at a house party in Covina.
