(L.A.) Jimmie Navarro, 65, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jimmie Navarro.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Diazepam

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:44 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on June 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Diazepam is a medication that belongs to the benzodiazepine class of drugs. It is used to treat anxiety disorders, providing relief from symptoms such as excessive worry, restlessness, and tension. It is also prescribed for managing symptoms of alcohol withdrawal, including agitation, tremors, and delirium tremens.
