The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jemal Ross.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Cervical Neck Injury

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:40 p.m.

The body was not brought in from the hospital to the coroner’s. It must have been the hospital doctor and not the county’s deputy medical examiner who ruled on the cause of death. The government investigator left the race/ethnicity field blank for the decedent.
