(L.A.) Jason Viger, 43, Died at an Intersection

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at an intersection.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jason Viger of Saugus.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Hughes.

RIP JASON ANTHONY VIGER (April 4, 1981 – August 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:00 p.m.

The decedent worked as a sergeant for the Homicide Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

He crashed his Chevy Nova at 10:50 p.m. on Valencia Boulevard, near the intersection of McBean Parkway.

The incident also left an unidentified adult female passenger with injuries. Fire officials confirmed one patient was taken to the hospital from the scene of the crash.

As a sergeant, Jason A. Viger received $385,649 in total pay and benefits in the year 2022.
