(L.A.) Jason Ramirez, 19, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Jason Ramirez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent was one of two fatalities in a crash on Vanowen Street near Lemp Avenue in North Hollywood, the other being Jonathan Dicristofaro.

At around 1:40 a.m., their vehicle hit an electrical pole and several parked cars. Firefighters needed to use hydraulic tools to extricate them from the wreckage.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Jason Ramirez” in public records.
