Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 78-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Wilkes.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Cocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:52 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
