Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 71-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Laney.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Thermal Burns

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; Congestive Heart Failure
