(L.A.) James Darlin, 44, Died in an Encampment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at an encampment.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Darlin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP JAMES DARLIN (December 18, 1980 – December 20, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 2:17 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
