(L.A.) Jaion Diaz, 24, Died on Train Tracks

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Black male that occurred on train tracks.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Jaion Diaz.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The decedent apparently placed himself in the path of a Metro Expo Line train.

LAPD found him at around 12:05 a.m.

The tracks are in the 2600 block of Exposition Boulevard adjacent to Leimert Park and Jefferson Park.
