Air-traffic controllers in Jacksonville, Florida, reportedly walked out and left their positions in protest of mandated vaccinations on October 8, 2021 (Friday).

Approximately 650 flights in and out of the state of Florida were allegedly canceled affecting schedules till Saturday.

Corporate news outlets, however, are reporting that the flight delays are due to the weather.

Florida airport delays

Action News Jax quoted a travel advisory issued by Tampa International Airport.

โ€œTPA is continuing to experience flight delays at this time as a result of an FAA-imposed air traffic management program in response to bad weather to the north. This issue is impacting all Florida airports. As always, please check with your airline for flight updates.โ€

Local residents say there is no inclement weather affecting flights.

“Not a peep about it in the mainstream media.”
