(L.A.) Irael Funes De Leon, 44, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Irael Funes De Leon.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Cocaine and Alcohol Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Chronic Alcohol Liver Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:13 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
