(L.A.) Christopher Farias Ortiz, 28, Died at a Swap Meet

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Latino male that occurred in Santa Fe Springs.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Christopher Farias Ortiz.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:17 p.m.

The decedent appears to have been shot dead during a confrontation with security guards near a swapmeet in Santa Fe Springs.

Whittier PD said the shooting happened at around 5:05 p.m. in the 13900 block of Mica Street.

The Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet is an expansive weekend flea market located at 13963 Alondra Blvd, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670.
