Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Idrees Da Oud Mahmud.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was an actor originally from Chicago. He was known as Idrees Degas.

He appeared in “Black Monday,” the comedy drama starring Don Cheadle and Regina Hall for the network Showtime. He was set to portray Miles Davis in an upcoming biopic.
