Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Asian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Huyen Kieu.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Postpartum Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Placenta Accreta

Other Significant Conditions: Preeclampsia, Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 26.

Placenta accreta is a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the wall of the uterus.
