Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hui Piao.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Probable Diabetes Mellitus; Chronic Alcohol Use; Chronic Tobacco Use

RIP HUI PIAO (January 8, 1972 – July 17, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:18 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
