Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the teenager as Hector Ceja Jr.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:57 p.m.
The decedent appears to have been one of the victims in a multi-vehicle collision on Vista Del Mar in Playa Del Rey. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His older brother David had died on the scene.

Firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle collision resulting in at least 5 patients, including one fatality. Firefighters extricated two patients, and transported a total of four patients (3 critical & 1 in fair condition) to local hospitals (ages/genders: 18M, 16M, 18F, 30F). The deceased (unknown age/gender) remains inside one of the wrecked vehicles, with LAPD en route for the investigation.
