Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Latino male that occurred at his home.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hector Bahena Alvarez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Condition: Bacterial Pneumonia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:09 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 28, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
