Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Gycela Ortega.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Hypothyroidism

Other Significant Condition: Asthma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 1:21 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 27.
