Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 75-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence in the 90036.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Georgette Porumbeanu. Blue eyes.
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Hypertensive and Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Condition: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:53 a.m.
As of May 23, the body has not been claimed.
The decedent is assumed to have been Gigi Porumbeanu, the daughter of the infamous Romanian chauffeur Andrei Porumbeanu, who had eloped with a wealthy American heiress of the Remington typewriter fortune. The marriage was later annulled after it was revealed that he lied about having divorced his first wife, the mother of Gigi.

On 03/25/2025 at 10:20 a.m., a resident of the building called 9-1-1 to request a welfare check for her neighbor whom she had not heard from in about 2-3 days. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived to the scene and requested that the landlord give them access to the unit. Upon entry, they discovered the decedent unresponsive on the floor in a prone position. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and paramedics pronounced death at 10:53 a.m.
