(L.A.) George Harvey, 25, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as George Harvey.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:51 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “George Harvey” in public records.
