Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Frank Smith.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Congestive Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; Methamphetamine Effects

RIP FRANK SMITH (May 11, 1961 – April 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:29 p.m.

Note that the deputy medical examiner Dr. Raffi Djabourian classified this as a natural death despite the meth.
