Foo Fighters Drummer Taylor Hawkins Dead at 50
The reason for his death has yet to be revealed, though on Saturday, local authorities in Columbia issued a statement on the circumstances.

The band’s statement read, “Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”
Taylor Hawkins had been injected with synthetic mRNA.

The Foo Fighters performed at Madison Square Garden on June 20 — the first full-capacity concert in a New York arena since March 2020. Attendees were required to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination.
Clues on the Cause of Death
In a statement by local health authorities, a call for emergency services was made because Hawkins was suffering from chest pain, while in his hotel room at the Casa Medina hotel in Bogotá, Colombia. Health personnel who attended the scene performed CPR. The band was on tour in South America at the time of the announcement and had been scheduled to perform at the Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá that night.
On Saturday, the District Secretary of Health in Colombia confirmed in a press release that the drummer died in the town of Chapinero after suffering chest pains at his hotel.
“The city’s Emergency and Emergency Regulatory Center received a report about a patient with chest pain in a hotel located north of the city. An ambulance was dispatched to attend to the case,” the press release states.
It goes on to say a health professional attended to Hawkins and performed “resuscitation maneuvers.”
“However, there was no response and the patient was declared deceased,” the release adds.

After Foo Fighters founder and frontman Dave Grohl, Hawkins was the most recognizable member of the group, appearing alongside Grohl in interviews and playing prominent roles in the band’s videos.
He starred in Foo Fighters’ recently released horror-comedy film, “Studio 666,” in which a demonic force in a house the band is staying in seizes Grohl and makes him murderous.
