(L.A.) Fabian Chacon, 36, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Hispanic male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Fabian Chacon.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Ethanol and Fentanyl

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:26 p.m.

The decedent’s body was found at 620 South Western Avenue, Los Angeles, 90020. That is the Western Avenue side of the Solair Building between 6th Street and Wilshire Boulevard. The sidewalk between the Louis Castel store and the 7-Eleven is known as a sort of mini Skid Row in Koreatown, where addicts hang out and openly share drugs.

He didn’t seem to be homeless inasmuch as the address of his recorded residence points to the apartment building at 3429 Percy Street, Los Angeles, CA 90023
