(L.A.) Ernest Salazar, 76, Died From Meth Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 76-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ernest Salazar.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Congestive Heart Failure

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Use

RIP ERNEST SALAZAR (May 22, 1948 – July 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:50 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
