(L.A.) Erick Gonzalez, 46, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Erick Gonzalez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

RIP ERICK GONZALEZ (February 26, 1978 – December 6, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
