(L.A.) Elizabeth Perez-Espino, 25, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Elizabeth Perez-Espino.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Complications of Blunt Force Injuries of the Torso

Other Significant Condition: Physical Altercation Prior to Being Struck by a Motor Vehicle

RIP ELIZABETH PEREZ-ESPINO (January 3, 1994 – December 22, 2019)

On Dec. 15, Harrison Samuel Bowser (dob 7/1/89) had a fight with Elizabeth Perez-Espino and threw her on the ground at a gas station on the 400 block of West Anaheim Street in Long Beach.

Bowser, who was there with Samantha Smith (dob 11/3/93), later ran over the victim and fled the scene. Perez-Espino died as a result of her injuries on Dec. 22.

Bowser was later charged with one count each of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, as well as one count each of hit-and-run driving resulting in injury to another person and assault with a deadly weapon, truck.

Smith was charged with one felony count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.
