(L.A.) Eliah Walton, 43, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Eliah Walton.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy

Cause of Death B: Sequelae of Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Conditions: Asthma, Incidental SARS-Cov-2 Nasopharyngeal Swab Positivity

RIP ELIAH WALTON (May 29, 1978 – February 27, 2022)

It appears the medical examiner ruled this an accident because it was the meth that precipitated the death.

The effects of methamphetamine toxicity are very similar to those seen after a traumatic brain injury.
