(L.A.) Eleanor Peel, 66, Died in an “Accident”

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Caucasian female that occurred in a home / at home.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Eleanor Peel.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Smoke Inhalation And Thermal Burns

Other Significant Condition: Propoxyphene Intoxication

RIP ELEANOR PEEL (July 5, 1933 – December 27, 1999)

July 2, 2018 – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is recommending against continued prescribing and use of the pain reliever propoxyphene because new data show that the drug can cause serious toxicity to the heart, even when used at therapeutic doses.

Propoxyphene, chiefly sold as Darvon and Darvocet, is an opioid painkiller that was pulled from the market in 2010 for causing heart attacks.
