(L.A.) Edward Kwan, 23, Died in Diamond Bar

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Edward Kwan.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds and Sharp-Force Injuries

RIP EDWARD KWAN (December 27, 1997 – May 21, 2021)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:58 p.m.

The decedent was murdered by his 32-year-old brother Eric Kwan, who also killed their 55-year-old mother Loretta Ho.

In April 2025, a jury found Eric Kwan guilty of first-degree murder for his brother’s death and of voluntary manslaughter for stabbing his mother.
