(L.A.) Edouard Trebucq, 36, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Asian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edouard Trebucq.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Propranolol Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Alcohol, Citalopram and Ketamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:38 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 5, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

Propranolol, one of the first beta blockers produced in the United States, is used primarily to treat hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, tremors, hemangiomas, dysrhythmias, and angina, among other disorders.

Citalopram, sold under the brand name Celexa among others, is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class. It is used to treat major depressive disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and social phobia.
