(L.A.) Douglas Fruchey, 36, Died From Polydrug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Douglas Fruchey.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Fluorofentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Methylenedioxymethamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:07 p.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
Doug Fruchey was a professional bodybuilder who looked much older than his age. He is survived by a spouse.
The last notable bodybuilder to die in L.A. County was Doug Brignole in October 2022. The medical examiner ruled he died from COVID. Brignole had received the initial series of synthetic mRNA in April 2021. He had a booster a few weeks before his death.
