Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a street in the Valencia neighborhood of Sanata Clarita.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Dion Mumphery.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday night.
The decedent was fatally injured in a hit-and-run crash at around 8:20 p.m. by the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road. He was apparently trying to cross the street outside of a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle believed to be a dark-colored pickup truck.
His surname is indeed spelled as Mumphery and not Mumphrey or Humphrey.
