Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Devin Whitaker.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP DEVIN WHITAKER (April 9, 1999 – January 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:15 a.m.

The decedent was fatally shot at a New Year’s party.

The government investigator initially posted the forename as Deven on January 2, then changed the spelling to Devin on January 5.
