Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 5-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the child as Destiny Wade.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Sickle Cell Hemoglobin C Disease

Cause of Death B: Viral Infection

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:07 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 13 the following year.
