Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Black male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Deshawn Cox.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

RIP DESHAWN COX (January 18, 1994 – January 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late December.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
