Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Demetria Leshay.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Congestive Heart Failure

Cause of Death C: Hypertrophic Heart Disease

RIP DEMETRIA LESHAY (October 3, 1973 – April 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:52 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 21.
