Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Deborah Caprow.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Complications of Laennec Cirrhosis

Other Significant Condition: Cardiomegaly

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 3:16 p.m.

Laennec’s cirrhosis is a liver condition that is caused by alcoholism.

Also known as portal cirrhosis, Laënnec’s cirrhosis is a hepatic cirrhosis in which increased connective tissue spreads out from the portal spaces compressing and distorting the lobules, causing impairment of liver function, and ultimately producing the typical hobnail liver.
