(L.A.) Damian Amaya-Pineda, 2, Died with Brother

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a two-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the boy as Damian Pineda Amaya [sic].

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

The family disclosed on their GoFundMe that the child died at 6:41 am on Monday. His older brother pronounced deceased earlier.

Two brothers, Damian and Chris Amaya-Pineda, were victims of a hit-and-run that took place when the family was traveling to their grandmother’s house.

Apart from the two brothers who died, their mother Debbie (35), and sister Jade (16) were also in the car during the crash. The family was traveling in an SUV when a Mercedes ran a red light and crashed into it. The Mercedes driver did not stop and fled the scene after the crash.
