(L.A.) Crisceno Currie, 70, Died From Recreational Drug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Crisceno Currie.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine and Heroin

RIP CRISCENO CURRIE (February 6, 1954 – December 22, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:26 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Currie Crisceno.
