Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Black male that occurred on an empty pathway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Cortland Davis.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamines and Fentanyl

RIP CORTLAND DAVIS (November 28, 1990 – August 20, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:51 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
