(L.A.) Chris Amaya-Pineda, 13, Killed by Hit-and-Run with Brother

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 13-year-old male of Latin American ethnicity that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the boy as Chris Amaya Pineda.

Two brothers, Damian and Chris Amaya-Pineda, were victims of a hit-and-run that took place when the family was traveling to their grandmother’s house.
Apart from the two brothers who died, their mother Debbie (35), and sister Jade (16) were also in the car during the crash. The family was traveling in an SUV when a Mercedes ran a red light and crashed into it. The Mercedes driver did not stop and fled the scene after the crash.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help the family with funeral and medical expenses.
