(L.A.) Cheryl McVittie, 65, Died From Meth Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Cheryl McVittie.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP CHERYL MCVITTIE (March 4, 1959 – September 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:55 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
