Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 14-year-old male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the teenager as Cedric Hughes and listed his race/ethnicity as Black + Latino.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Sudden Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy

Other Significant Conditions: Asthma, Obesity, Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease
