Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at Soul Housing Recuperative Care.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Campbell Wood.

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Soul House is a private organization that operates multiple facilities providing short-term housing and medical oversight for people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or those recently discharged from hospitals and at risk of returning to the streets. They serve individuals with medical issues, substance abuse problems, and mental health challenges.
In June 2025, reports emerged that Soul Housing abruptly issued eviction notices to dozens of residents with mental disabilities due to an unexpected cutoff of medical support, leaving many at risk of homelessness without adequate notice or support.
