(L.A.) Bobby Brown, 52, Died in a Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Black male that occurred in a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Bobby Brown.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to five months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:02 p.m.

The government investigator noted that the decedent had a history of alcoholic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, alcohol abuse, sarcoidosis, multiple E.D. presentations for alcohol intoxication and abdominal pain, seizures, hypertension, smoking, and back surgery.
