NYU Students Blame Chelsea Clinton For New Zealand Mosque Attacks

Less than 24 hours after the horrific New Zealand mosque shootings, a visibly pregnant Chelsea Clinton was accosted at New York University by students who accused the former president’s daughter of stoking Islamophobia.

On a visit to NYU for an interfaith vigil to remember the victims, Clinton was confronted by a group who confronted the 39-year-old mother and peppered her with accusatory statements.

“This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out into the world. And I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deeply – 49 people died because of the rhetoric you put out there,” said one student.

To her credit, Clinton remained calm, placed her hands on her chest, and went so far as to apologize to the student who was getting in her face.

Video of the interaction was posted on Twitter by Esor Fasa, accompanied by text explaining what was happening.

@ChelseaClinton is here at the NYU vigil right now. A lot of students feel uncomfortable. People haven’t forgotten the Islamophobic mob she incited against @IlhanMN. There is no sense of responsibility.

My best friend @vivafalastin told @ChelseaClinton that it’s a disgrace that she came to the vigil, calling out Chelsea’s Islamophobia and hypocrisy.

The students were referencing the below tweet from last month, which radical left-wing activists have interpreted as Islamophobia on Clinton’s part.

Fasa would delete her tweets, but not before other users of the social-media platform were able to save a copy of the video. Fasa eventually deleted her account as well.

The vocal NYU student in the video remained defiant and kept her tweets and criticism visible.
