(L.A.) Benjamin Kelley, 53, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a street in Castaic.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Benjamin Kelley of Washington.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:16 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on June 5.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m. on May 15, California Highway Patrol’s Newhall Office received reports of a traffic collision on the northbound side of Interstate 5 north of Lake Hughes Road.

Once officers arrived on scene, they found a vehicle on Castaic Road under the Interstate 5 highway with the driver ejected. The Chevrolet Cruz driven by Kelley had left the freeway onto Castaic Road.
