Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 72-year-old Black male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ashton Jr. Baker.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Kidney Disease

RIP ASHTON JR. BAKER (November 26, 1952 – February 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:52 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 17.
