(L.A.) Artin Abedi, 39, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Artin Abedi and listed his race/ethnicity as White/Caucasian.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Fluorofentanyl, and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:58 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent had an extensive rap sheet. His convictions included possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of controlled substances, terrorist threats, cocaine sales and identity theft. He served multiple state prison terms, the longest being a four-year term for cocaine sales.
